Update — March 16

Throughout this challenging time, our priority is the safety and health of those who have placed their trust in us. As the global situation changes rapidly, we want to do our best to keep everyone informed of the ways we are helping to ensure the well-being of our residents, clients, and team members.


Visitor Restrictions

In conjunction with President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced March 13 that in an effort to further prevent the virus from entering senior living communities, family members may visit residents and clients only in end-of-life situations. We are implementing this in both Assisted Living and the Health Center. However, we are aware that many of our Assisted Living and Health Center residents rely on family members to provide essential supplies. If you have anything to drop off to your loved one, please give the items to the Concierge and we will help deliver it directly to their room.

Independent Living residents, in an effort to keep COVID-19 out of the building and abide by the CDC recommendation of social distancing, we are asking for your help to refrain from having any unnecessary visitors. We are asking that family members of those in Independent Living only visit if it is essential, such as medication set-up, dropping off groceries, etc.


Group Activities

Further, the government agency also announced that all group activities in senior living communities should cease. This decision is in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that advises individuals, especially older adults, not to gather in crowds. At Terrace Glen Village, we are going to follow these guidelines and effective immediately we will have no group activities.


Communicating with Loved Ones

During this time of restricted visitation, please note that the Terrace Glen Village team is happy to help you connect with your loved one — either via technology, or by making sure a letter, card, or package reaches its destination.

Common Areas

In an effort to reduce the amount of traffic throughout the building, we ask that all residents refrain from utilizing the Village Center (Coffee Area, seating area by the fireplace, and Mailbox Room). Terrace Glen Village staff will deliver mail daily to each resident’s door.
